Cedric Turner or “YBHouston” is a rapper who was born and raised on the southwest side of Houston, TX. Cedric was introduced to music at the age of 6 when his older sister and cousin formed a hip-hop group called “Double K”. Kelly and Kevin actually won a recording contract with Def Jam but shortly after his then 11 year old sister decided it was not for her. Cedric decided to keep the rap legacy going by putting out mixtapes in High School and in college. At The Ohio State University, where Cedric attended school earning a business degree,  he gained a wide fan-base and loyal followers. He actually toured in Ohio in 2007 under the group “The Black Clark Kent” as rapper Bossman. The group had creative differences and eventually decided to part ways but still make music together even today. So with all the group struggle he’s experienced in his life Cedric realized it was time to go solo. “In the end you can only rely on God & yourself”. YBHouston is his movement now that he is back home in Houston, TX and finished with school. He just released his first mix tape in 3 years titled “The Itinerary Mixtape”.
